Silly, Supercute Boys

Tuesday was Camo Day at school, and we have plenty of camoflauge to go around. It's been a really fun month of the military child. This same day Jackson was so intrigued by Andy's snack (Lucky Charms) that he climbed from my lap onto the table just to get a closer look...and a bite.

Ethan?? Is that you? We can't see you in your camoflauge.

Can I have a bite please?

YUMMY!!

Wagon Ride

It was a nice Sunday afternoon so we decided to take a walk/ride with the wagon. Jackson has never been a fan of his stroller, unless he's sleeping. He is also too heavy for his backpack carrier (at least when I'm wearing it). Ethan loves riding in the wagon with his brother so everyone is happy! These three pictures are all pretty much the same, but I think the boys' faces are priceless.

I got a good smile out of Ethan, but Jackson was too distracted by his milk....

....at least they both have their eyes open....

....this is one is just hilarious because they are making the same annoyed face. It's eerily similar to their dad's annoyed face. Should I be offended?!?!

Torii Beach

We have lived here for two years, and no one has ever told us about Torii Beach. It's great! It has a beach with real sand (not rocks!!), and a waterslide, cabins, and a boardwalk right on the beach. Today we went to check it out, and although a storm was brewing, we did get to enjoy the party celebrating the beginning of beach season.

Ethan checking out the waves and the storm clouds.

I love this picture. He is so happy.

If we bought Ethan a bouncer, we would never have to buy another toy again.

Fun, fun!

Well if Ethan can do it, I can do it!

Just kidding! Get me out of here!

Much better; stable ground and my police car.

We're Ready for the Beach

We blew up the beach balls today, and as soon as the sun shines for more than an hour, the boys are ready for the beach!!

Sorry I've Been Slacking...

...but grad. school is demanding all of my very limited free time. Who knew?!?! I have to make it until October. I can do it!

As previously mentioned, April is the Month of the Military Child (what month is for the military wife?). Ethan's school has several fun themes throughout the month. Here are some highlights...

Favorite Character Day
(note: Ethan's favorite character is Lightning McQueen or Buzz Lightyear, but we don't have those costumes so he dressed as Daddy's favorite character - a jedi).

Storybook Parade
"10 Apples on Top"

Hawaiian Day
Good thing we went to Hawaii in November!

Hat Day
He wore his firefighter hat so he could be like Papa. However, he wore it backwards so I guess he's a gangster firefighter?

There's my little chunk in red!

A Weekend at White Beach

We had a very relaxing weekend at White Beach. The biggest perk: It's only 25 minutes from home!

Our "cabin hotel" (Ethan's name for our home-away-from-home).

Inside the cabin...two bedrooms, full kitchen, bathroom, and a TV. That's my idea of roughing it!

Getting ready for baths and bed.

Mommy and Jackson on the beach.

Daddy and Ethan playing at the beachside playground.

Ethan at White Beach...

He climbed right up and immediately claimed the top bunk as his.

Doing a little teetering on the teeter totter.

Climbing the obstacle course wall with perfection.

Burying his feet in Okinawa's beautiful white sand...I mean gravelly rock sand.

Swimming in the ocean - what a life.

Jackson at White Beach...

Playing catch with Daddy in the cabin.

No tub so Jackson got to bathe in the sink, which he barely fit into. Oh well, he had a blast!

Staying cool with Daddy's shades.

Climbing up the slide and sliding down ALL BY HIMSELF!

Being cheesy with Mommy on the beach.

Goodbye Rain, Hello Sun!

Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to leave Okinawa, but it is great that the boys can play outside year round. They are definitely at ages where they are happiest outside. Hot day = pool and water table!

He's counting down the days until the swimming pool opens.

Jackson prefers the water table over the pool. Ethan's kind of a wild swimmer.

Rainy Days are Okay when Daddy's Home!

It's still rainy season so we let Ethan bring his bike inside (for our sanity and his). Andy has been on leave since Tuesday afternoon, and it's been so great having him around. The boys are really loving it! We're going to White Beach on Friday for a relaxing weekend so stay posted for more pictures.

Making laps around the house!

Mmmm....spaghetti is good comfort food on a rainy day.

Jackson uses his fingers to eat spaghetti...why can't Ethan?!?!

Early morning cuddlebugs.

Happy Easter 2009

We had a great Easter. The weather was perfect for an outdoor church service that was practically on the beach. We ran through the sprinkler all afternoon, grilled out, and went bowling. What a fabulous day to celebrate Jesus!

The Easter Bunny (aka: Momo & Papa and Great Momo & Mofa) once again went overboard.

Hunting for football eggs!

Playing with the Easter eggs.

Family picture at Tengan Castle overlooking Courtney Beach.
Happy Easter!

Easter Eve

The weather has been great for a fun Easter weekend. No rain! Andy and Ethan decided a campout was in order. Ethan wanted to listen for the Easter Bunny (they did the same thing on Christmas Eve awaiting Santa). Jackson and Mommy were on hand for any assistance.

Where does this pole go, Dad?

Jackson can't wait until he can take part in the boy campout.

Just call me Suzie-Homemaker...I want to make sure the tent is clean for my boys. And no, I don't feel left out that I'm not invited to the boy campout. Those who know me know that I prefer the indoors.

I snagged Ethan for a quick picture...he prefers to wrestle in the tent.

Aahh Ethan
