Scar face

Jackson hates to lose; especially when competing against his brother. During a game of football, Ethan passed the ball. Since Jackson didn't want to miss the pass, like any good football player, he didn't take his eyes off the ball. Well, he caught the ball, and then ran HARD into our patio post.  The house shook, and I was surprised the pole didn't collapse.

Jack's first bloody nose!

Cutest little "scar face."

Christmas Time

Another wonderful Christmas is in the books. This year was so relaxing. Thank goodness!

We went to Christmas Eve service at church, then looked at Christmas lights on our drive home. The boys each opened one gift and left out cookies for Santa.

Ethan couldn't contain his excitement and woke up Christmas morning at 4 a.m.  Eek!  Jack was up by 6, but both boys were patient and let Mom and Dad sleep in until 7. We spent the morning opening gifts and eating monkey bread. Grandma came over for Swedish meatballs, and we spent the rest of the day watching Christmas movies and building Legos.

We are so blessed with our little family.

So handsome for Christmas Eve service.

What did Santa bring?!

The boys thought Santa brought them bikes. When we told them the bikes were from Mom and Dad, they didn't believe us, claiming bikes are too expensive. I guess my cheapskate ways are kind of obvious.

Our gingerbread house looked good enough to eat...so we did!

A Creekwood Christmas

Friday was the last day of school before Christmas break, and both boys celebrated the holiday with their classmates. Ethan's class made snowman decorations and ate pizza. Jack's class frosted cookies and watched Polar Express. I was lucky (?) to be able to run back and forth between the kindergarten and third grade hallways so I could attend both parties. We are ready for our two week break!

Mrs. Hoffman's 3rd grade class.

Someone needs a haircut, and it's not the snowman.

The book Jackson got at the gift exchange.

Yummy cookies!

Max Goldhahn

We have been going back and forth about getting a dog. A friend rescued Max last month, but she had too many dogs and needed to find him a forever home. He's a HUGE shepherd mix. He is so sweet and loving. He follows the boys everywhere like a third brother. The only two questioning our sanity - the cats.

Snow Day

At least his legs will be warm!

We enjoyed 3 whopping inches of snow, which resulted in 3 days off from school. The snow has since melted, and it will be in the 60's this week, but it was fun while it lasted!

Thankful

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Momo, Papa, and Aunt Britt visiting from SD and DC. We cooked, ate, ran, shopped, watched football, played games, and checked out Christmas lights.

Can't wait until we're together again!
