The year 2013 is just a few hours away, but here are the highlights from Christmas 2012: Legos, Legos, Bey Blades, Legos, and an electric scooter and train set from Santa. Most importantly, we were together!

The Days Before The Day Before Christmas
We are loving Christmas break, and it's only just begun!
For starters, Andy and I are getting in our holiday workouts so we don't feel guilty about all of the junk we're eating. Last night we took the boys to a massive walk-through Christmas lights display at Rhema Church. Today we watched football, went to the park, and started some prep cooking. We also got the Lego Millennium Falcon and have been having a blast putting it together as a family.
Missing Momo, Papa, and Aunt Britt in DC, but we're so happy they can be together.
God is good!

My boys. Lately.
Just some random pictures from the last week or so. It's finally cooling down here, and Mama and the boys all got sick to commemorate the season change! Hopefully we don't share our germs with Daddy.

Robbers Cave
Sorry for the long delay between posts; life, at the moment, is stressful. And when I say "life," I mean "work." Who knew babysitting felons would be stressful!?
Anyways.....we had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving! Mom and Dad flew down for five fun days and lots of yummy food (thanks Dad).
We decided to go hiking the day after Thanksgiving. We needed to burn some calories, and it was much more relaxing than Black Friday shopping. We visited Robbers Cave State Park in southeast Oklahoma. It was so beautiful with the leaves changing. We definitely will venture here again!

237
On Saturday, the 10th, we celebrated the Marine Corps' 237th birthday. We were looking forward to our yearly date, and I must say, we looked great. However, it was a weekend full of germs, and our date was cut short.
I took off Friday to stay home with Ethan who had strep throat, and then Jackson threw up all of Saturday night.
Oh well, we tried. Happy Birthday USMC.

Halloween 2012
Another candy-filled Halloween is in the books. The boys dressed as Mario and Luigi. All the neighbors loved their costumes as we went door-to-door. The amount of candy in our house is ridiculous. The boys were even generous and passed out some of their candy to kids who came to our door.
The day before Halloween I got to go on Jack's preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch. We had such a fun time and got a pumpkin to bring home. Tomorrow Daddy gets to go with Ethan and his class to the Will Rogers Ranch and Museum. Who loves field trips? We do!

Super Soccer Season!
Jackson had an awesome first year of soccer. He loved it, and thanks to being competitive with his big brother, he's actually pretty good. He also finally got a trophy. He loves Ethan's trophies and is excited to start his own collection. We're excited for soccer to resume again in the spring!

8 GREAT Years
Ethan turned 8 on October 13th. What a great (and way too fast) eight years it has been.
We celebrated with soccer games, pizza, cake, presents, and laser tag (sorry, forgot to take pictures of laser tag-I was having too much fun).
Ethan is so wonderful; just ask anyone who knows him, including his teacher. We recently had parent-teacher conferences, and the following words described Ethan: "super smart," "responsible," "leader," "cool kid."
I already knew all these things, but its nice when others notice too. Love you Ethan!
