Tokyo Disney Vacation

We decided to take a military flight to and from Tokyo for our 2009 family vacation. We stayed at the Navy resort in downtown Tokyo - The New Sanno. It was a beautiful hotel, and the prices are based on rank so it was very affordable. There was a pool, gym, and several nice restaraunts. Tokyo Disney and Disney Sea were only a train ride away. It was great to get away from Okinawa and experience Tokyo's cooler climate. Our biggest complaint - WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE!! We just weren't cut out for the big city.

Bathtime Bonanza

I recently noticed that I have very few bath pictures of Jackson. Last night the boys were being HILARIOUS in the tub. They were cracking each other up the whole time so I thought it was perfect timing to grab the camera.

FYI: We don't need anymore bath toys...ever.

The Sun's Always Shining When You're Cool

This morning the boys were sporting some sweet shades!! It was hard to get a picture of them both wearing the sunglasses as Jackson was more interested in taking them off and putting them back on. Ethan was able to hold him back so we could get a quick pic (the juice helped distract him too).

Waterpark Finale!!

Another "Okinawa last." The waterpark closes at the end of the month so we wanted to go one last time. Ethan absolutely loves it here. He's just a few inches too short for the big slides, but hopefully he'll be tall enough next summer for some American waterparks!!

So I had to sneak the rest of the pics from a distance. Jackson thought the balls were cool from a distance, but he wasn't so impressed once he realized that water sprayed out of them.

Last Day at the Pool

Today was the last day the pool was open; therefore, it is our last day EVER at the pool because we will move before it opens up again next summer. It's kind of a bittersweet day. It's great because we are just that much closer to leaving Okinawa. It's sad though too since we have become daily regulars at the pool, and now we'll have to find entertainment elsewhere.

Ethan mastered the low dive at the beginning of the summer, and since today was the last day, he decided it was time to attempt the high dive.

What's That on Your Head?

Ethan's forehead had a close encounter with the floor, and a miniscule amount of blood was the result. However, it was important for him to wear this band-aid to school for the two days following this "injury." I guess he wanted to get "street cred" from his peeps. He's too cute to be tough!

Jackson has a recent obsession with putting things on his head - particularly magnets. You can't really see the magnet in this picture, but that's what he's doing.
