To Infinity and Beyond!

Ethan's current fixation has been Toy Story, particularily Buzz Lightyear. We found a great Buzz kite, and today we had just the right amount of wind to fly it! Mommy got it in the air for about ten minutes. Ethan also managed to fly it by the kite strings, as shown below. About 5 minutes after I took these pictures the kite ripped in half. Stupid $4 kites!! Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

That's My Boy!!

Those of you who know me well will find this hilarious. These are pictures of Jackson CLEANING UP HIS MESS. He loves cleaning, just like his Mommy!

First, we'll dump out all of our animal friends....

We switched things up and swang at the park rather than our backyard. Oh what fun we have in Okinawa (notice the sarcasm).

Ethan and I spent the afternoon together at the "rope park" out in town. It was a fun time for just the two of us while Daddy and Jackson took naps.

We originally went to the park to ride bikes.....

....but we ended up playing on the skate ramps most of the time.

When it Rains it Pours...

The title of this post is two-fold:

First, after Jackson fell down the stairs, I assumed the week could only get better. However, Jackson was puking Wednesday night. We think he ate a bad turkey dog because once he got it out of his system, he's been as happy as a clam. Ethan puked this morning three times, and I thought maybe it was also a curse of the turkey dog, but he has a fever and is feeling pretty low-key so I think he has some other bug.

Second, it is definitely rainy season in Okinawa. We're still going outside though since it's hot and humid. We can't let a little rain slow us down (as shown below), but we can let a little vomit keep us indoors.

Cheerios are really the only way this boy can enjoy a stroller ride.

Does anyone need their lawn mowed? Good thing he's wearing a helmet in case he falls.

New Camera

We got our new camera in the mail yesterday, and it is awesome! Luckily, I have a gorgeous, apple-eating model who was more than willing to pose for the new camera.

Shenanigans!

The night before St. Patty's Day...Jackson fell down the stairs (he plowed down his baby gate). It was a horrible experience, which included a trip to the ER, but resulted in nothing more than a bruised nose. Thank GOD!

Despite the rough night, the leprechauns still stopped by and left some footprints and some "gold" for the boys. We had a green-tastic day with green cupcakes for breakfast and a green supper!

Nothing Slows Us Down!

Despite some rainy, windy, chilly days, we are still managing to get plenty of outside time. The boys need to release energy, and it prevents Mommy from pulling her hair out!

Bud Light Baby

I know these photos are incredibley inappropriate (YES, the can is empty), but he is just so darn cute. And if the drinking age is ever lowered, Jackson would be a great model for Bud Light!

Jackson and Spine's Covert Operation

Believe it or not, there are times when Jackson does not want to eat. When those rare times do occur, Spine is waiting patiently for Jackson to drop some food his way. I caught the two of them in action yesterday at lunch time.

He looks like a good little boy that always eats all of his food....

...but lurking underneath the table is Spine - ready to eat anything!

At least I have one clean eater!

Captain Commando!

Changing Jackson's diaper and clothes has become an all-out war. He refuses to lay still so he is often naked when we are at home (I'm not exaggerating). He just loves to be naked!

Basket Brothers!

FIVE straight days of rain was too much. Boredom and stir-craziness were at an all time high. Good thing we were able to give each other laundry basket rides.

....with assistance, but still walking! He laughs the entire time as he makes laps around the house. It is downpouring today so we need to get our exercise indoors.

A New Hiding Place

This used to be Spine's hiding place, but now that Ethan realizes that he can fit under the kitchen sink, Spine has had to hide elsewhere.

In case you're wondering about Ethan's chubby younger brother, he is getting all four of his molars so he hasn't been especially photogenic. Hopefully I can snap some cute ones soon!
