Halloween 2012

Another candy-filled Halloween is in the books. The boys dressed as Mario and Luigi. All the neighbors loved their costumes as we went door-to-door. The amount of candy in our house is ridiculous. The boys were even generous and passed out some of their candy to kids who came to our door.

The day before Halloween I got to go on Jack's preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch. We had such a fun time and got a pumpkin to bring home. Tomorrow Daddy gets to go with Ethan and his class to the Will Rogers Ranch and Museum. Who loves field trips? We do!

Super Soccer Season!

Jackson had an awesome first year of soccer. He loved it, and thanks to being competitive with his big brother, he's actually pretty good. He also finally got a trophy. He loves Ethan's trophies and is excited to start his own collection. We're excited for soccer to resume again in the spring!

8 GREAT Years

Ethan turned 8 on October 13th. What a great (and way too fast) eight years it has been.

We celebrated with soccer games, pizza, cake, presents, and laser tag (sorry, forgot to take pictures of laser tag-I was having too much fun).

Ethan is so wonderful; just ask anyone who knows him, including his teacher. We recently had parent-teacher conferences, and the following words described Ethan: "super smart," "responsible," "leader," "cool kid."

I already knew all these things, but its nice when others notice too. Love you Ethan!

Birthday Season

Andy, Ethan, and I all have birthdays within two weeks of each other so the end of September and the beginning of October are always fun times at our house (and filled with cake!).  Andy SUPER surprised me this year and bought me a Harley Davidson for my birthday.  I'm not joking!  Whenever we'd drive by motorcycles, I'd daydream out loud about wanting one someday.  I guess he was listening.  He was so sweet, and told me that I never buy anything for myself, and he didn't see the point in waiting for "someday."  So...I have a motorcycle now!  I got the initiation crash out of the way too.  Now I'm just making laps in the parking lot at our HOA park until I get the nerves to take the motorcycle safety course.
Andy's birthday was fun, although I couldn't top his gift giving.  We ate pizza and cupcakes and opened presents.  Thank you to all of our friends and family who gave us gifts and called or texted birthday greetings!
Ethan's birthday is Saturday, and we're having a laser tag party.  I'll post about it soon!

Soccer Stars

We officially have two kids in two different activities (swimming and soccer). Both boys love their sports, and Jack loves that he's old enough to do the same things as his big brother. The only downfall is NO down time. Our lives revolve around activities and homework.

Ethan is really getting into soccer this year. He understands the positions and the plays. He's also finally found his aggressive bone. He hussles and shoots goals. It's pretty awesome.

Unlike Ethan when he was four, Jack is not shy, nor does he fear the ball. I think Jack made six goals yesterday at his game.

Enjoy the pics of my soccer stars. I'll try to get some action shots, but I'm always too busy screaming and cheering.

Jack Jack Attack!

My youngest son is so sweet and so photogenic. He's hilarious and random. He loves soccer, Super Mario Bros., and his big brother. And I don't want you to think I'm leaving big brother out - he's just a too-cool-almost-8-year-old who goes running when Mommy wants to take pictures. I'll enjoy Jack's silliness before he becomes "too cool" too.

My Mofa

My wonderful Mofa passed away on September 2nd. "Wonderful" is an understatement. Jesus got a good one. We are in Michigan now to say our goodbyes. He was ready to go to heaven, but I'm being selfish and miss him so much.
