Mother's Day Weekend = Fabulous

This was my fifth Mother's Day, and the BEST yet. On Saturday we swam in the ocean and played at the waterpark at Torii Beach. On Sunday we had Mother's Day brunch, and then I spent the afternoon with my friend Tamara. We got foot massages and pedicures, and then we went out for cheesecake and coffee. So great! The best part was JACKSON STARTED WALKING!! Pictures are coming.

Happy Mother's Day!!

I'm a lucky Mommy.

Andy was awesome and ensured I had a low-stress weekend.

My Mother's Day gifts...bracelet, picture frame, pedicure, and an afternoon with my BF Tamara. I also had cheesecake and coffee, but I ate them before I could take their picture.

Ethan's picture of me was chosen to hang up at the Japanese mall for Mother's Day. Aaahhh. It looks just like me!

This child will really miss the temperature and the ocean when we move.
The water was so still and so warm.

Mr. Photogenic enjoying the waterpark...He was actually teething, had a fever, and was NOT enjoying the waterpark.

Taking a dip with his gator.

Watching Saturday morning cartoons like a big kid. Yes, I am a big fan of the electronic babysitter. Don't judge.

Can you tell they're brothers?
I am so lucky.

Forts, Food, and Freaky Bugs

More random cuteness from the Goldhahn boys. This morning Spine discovered the weirdest looking beetle I have ever seen. I have been informed that it's harmless, but it is very freaky looking. Another thing to add to the list of why I want to leave Japan!

Who doesn't love couch cushion forts??

Jackson with his favorite toy at breakfast time.

This beetle is about two inches long, but his antenae make him about three inches long.

Okinawa put the "SUN" in Sunday

I still hate it here, but the weather this weekend was beautiful. Warm with a nice breeze. We are enjoying it because the scorching days of summer are quickly approaching. On Sunday we hit up the beach and the fish flags. I'm not sure what the holiday is actually called, but the Okinawans hang up fish flags this time of year to celebrate children. I know two kiddos that I celebrate everyday!!

Born for the beach!!

Jackson wouldn't leave my side, and then he cries when Andy takes our picture.

Checking out the fish flags with some fancy climbing.

Mommy and the boys with some of the thousands of fish flags and banners.

I'm not sure why fish are the mascot for children, but they're cool.

May Day

A bunch of random pictures as we begin May...only 15 more days until Jackson is one!!

Our "new" borrowed wagon. Tamara is lending this to us until her baby grows into it or Jackson grows into our Radio Flyer. Super fun!

Brushing his teeth, followed by a swig of juice. Kidding!

This is how I found Spine when I came home from taking Ethan to school. Naughty cat!

A dip in the pool with his new floatie.

Modeling his new shirt. Thanks Momo and Papa!

Silly, Supercute Boys

Tuesday was Camo Day at school, and we have plenty of camoflauge to go around. It's been a really fun month of the military child. This same day Jackson was so intrigued by Andy's snack (Lucky Charms) that he climbed from my lap onto the table just to get a closer look...and a bite.

Ethan?? Is that you? We can't see you in your camoflauge.

Can I have a bite please?

YUMMY!!
